1st jobSwordsman
Shield, steel, and the front line. Everything starts here.
The Swordsman has the most HP of any first job and the natural HP regeneration to match. It is the easiest class to level solo and the backbone of Knights and Crusaders.
Bash carries you through early levels; Magnum Break clears groups and pushes them back.

Equipment and cards
Tap an item or card to see which monsters drop it, where they spawn, and which shops sell it.
| Slot | Item | Card | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weapon | Two-handed sword a Swordsman can use - Claymore is Knight and Crusader only. | ||
| Armor | Solid defense and +700 HP early on. | ||
| Garment | Extra flee helps an AGI build dodge mobs. | ||
| Shoes | +8% HP and SP. | ||
| Accessory | DEX for hit rate. |
How to play it
- Bash single targets, Magnum Break when a group closes in.
- Keep AGI ahead of STR until you can reliably hit what you fight.
Good to know
- Get Increase HP Recovery to 10 if you want to save on potions.
- Decide early whether you are heading for Knight or Crusader - Crusaders reward some INT, Knights do not.
